Hunters Court Stable
Hunters Court was established in 1977 by nationally known and highly respected professional horseman, David Q. Wright. Until his untimely death due to a brain tumor in July 2014, David produced and trained numerous successful hunters, jumpers and ponies as well as successful riders - in and out of the show ring. Danielle "Dani" Grice took over operations after David's passing, and under her leadership, Hunters Court Stable has continued its legacy of winning and good horsemanship. Danielle Grice - Head Professional Rider/Trainer/Owner
Dani is an experienced trainer and rider having competed at every level of the sport. As a Junior rider, Dani competed at both the USEF Medal Finals as well as the ASPCA Maclay Finals. Dani represented USEF Zone 6 twice as a member of the Prix de States JR Jumper team at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show. She also competed five times as a member of the Zone 6 team at the North American Young Riders Championships. Dani competed as an Amateur for one year in which she was Grand Champion at the National Horse Show in the High Amateur Owner Jumpers aboard her horse “The Boy Wonder”. Shortly after this victory, Dani turned in her Amateur card and became a professional. At age 19 she became the Assistant Trainer at Accolade Farms in Alabama where she worked with Holly Shepherd until Spring 2014.
Over the past two decades, Dani has been traveling the AA circuit. She has enjoyed bringing along young horses in both the hunter and jumper rings. Dani has acquired numerous Grand Prix ribbons and hunter derby wins at major shows such as Spruce Meadows, Tryon, Brownland, Gulfport, WEC Ohio and Ocala, and many others. Dani enjoys preparing both horse and rider for the show ring, and matching horse with rider. With a laid back approach, Dani uses knowledge and understanding to build confidence and bring out the best in horses and riders alike.
